It has been fun, but it is time to go.

First off, thank you all. While this site ran it was great and gave us an opportunity to meet you all and ride with some great people.
I started this site to try and bring all of Upstate NY's event together in one place, and I feel like the site was succesful in that. But as the years have gone on I have become extremely busy starting a media business and co-runnning a magazine and have not found the time to keep this site running.

I still love to ride and absolutely cannot wait to get wheels back on blacktop (currently still winter), but have too much going on to build this site further. I had put a feeler out on social media looking for someone with an interest to start the site back up but no qualified people were interested in carrying the torch. I thank those that showed interest in investing, but it really is the time I lack.

I plan to keep the .com online until it runs out, so if this is up and you are interested in running the site please contact me:

Thank you all again.

Articles and Stories

As it is difficult to update and write to the website directly on the road, I have found it is much easier to use WordPress to write on the road. I hope to do a lot more writing and blog more trips this season, and will try to update this as I do so.

You can read all the articles and stories by visiting the US NY Bikers WordPress site.

Feel free to comment or email me your opinions, comments or suggestions.

So it has been a while since I have updated this part of the site. So heres a basic:

I have been trying to keep up with the rides as they roll in. Making an effort to update the list at least once a week. Thankfully the list is growing and I think I have been able to keep it up to date fairly well.

The down side is that YET AGAIN facebook forced me to switch the site over to a Group style page. I tried my best to add my name to the main part of the page to keep it as a profile but they didnt buy it. So its a group again, and I am not seeing the rides and events posted by others like I was as a profile page. So Please tag me or email me any rides you would like listed so I can be sure to get them online. It is definitely aggrivating and pisses me off, but there doesnt seem to be a lot I can do about it.

So far my '10,000 miles on the bike this season' quest is on a good path. After this past week I have just crested the 4,000 mile mark, with months and many places still to see it is looking good.

Not to mention A few friends and I are planning a trip to Nova Scotia in August. I am definitely hoping the trip works out as it looks like an awesome ride and area. We will see how it goes and I will keep you updated on the progress.

See you all on the road. Ride safe!

I thought that I would take a minute to plug some causes. From honoring or supporting to fighting for your rights, there are a number of groups both statewide and local that work as a group for a cause. These groups provide a great opportuity to help others, to support a cause or to fight for the rights of every biker.
Patriot Guard Riders
“The Patriot Guard Riders is a 100% Volunteer, Federally registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization which ensures dignity and respect at memorial services honoring Fallen Military Heroes, First Responders and Honorably Discharged Veterans.”

An absolutely great organization that honors and remembers our fallen. There are no restriction on who can volunteer, check out their website and sign on to be a member.

Check out their website: HERE

American Bikers Aimed Toward Education

"ABATE of New York is a corporation, not a "motorcycle club". We are a group of individuals from different backgrounds coming together to ensure that the motorcycling lifestyle will still be an enjoyable lifestyle for our children and grandchildren. We do this by making sure that motorcyclists' point of view is presented to our legislators."

With more and more legislation limiting bikes and bikers rights and police targeting bikes with things like motorcycle only check points, standing up for your rights is increasingly more important.
Visit their website, sign up to be an ABATE member and be part of the fight for your rights.

Hugs for Heroes, S.U.M.C.
Supporting Real American Heroes and their Families. HUGS reaches out to Real American Heroes in many ways. There may be a need for temporary finiancial assistance, or assistence with connecting to the V.A., counceling, job seeking or making other connections necessary to "carry on". HUGS reaches out to the families of our Heroes in their times of need. If we do not have the ability to assist, we will help make the necessary connections.

This is an organization local to me that does amazing things for our local Heroes. They work solely from donations and money raised from events.

Visit their website and support what they do HERE
Donations can now be accepted on their website.

Ethanol free gas locations !

Most Stewarts Shops now offer Ethanol-free super unleaded. (do we really need to specify unleaded anymore?)
If you come across one that does not carry the ethanol-free super, say something to see if you can push to get them converted as well. It is a definite step in the right direction, and with any hope we can complain enough to get all grades back over to ethanol free. For now it is a serious plus to be able to put better gas in the bike.

So I was cleaning out my phone and re-opened the Pure Gas app. I had been on their website a few months back and they didn't have too much around here, but it seems they have added a few near me. It seems that all PitStop stations sell ethanol free, although most look to be super or higher only (not that thats a bad thing as I only put super in my bike anyway). One of them even had ethanol free 110 octane!
For those of you with smartphones, definitely download the app. If you don't have a smart phone, you can go to their website and look at the map there.

Skyline Drive - Blue Ridge Parkway

First of the Blue Ridge videos to FINALLY be done. I know that I have been slacking on getting them done, but hopefully can work on them faster and get them online.
